A Transvestite Dog called Steven

230 MILES down and about 11,000 to go. We've made it as far as sister-in-law Carol in London, about 15 minutes from Heathrow, having met my mother for lunch (Nandos... yum, though I "forgot" (ha!) to buy Hoopy any food so he was about 10 minutes behind the rest of us in eating) en route.

So just time for a cup of tea (and perhaps a sharpener or two at The Sawyers Arms whilst Ali & Carol chat some more) before going 300 yards down the road to sister-in-law Sheila who's doing the Airport run and babysitting the car for us.

Hoopy's had 2 cigarettes so far but still insists that the last in the departure lounge later will be the last ever. We'll see.

Next stop Singapore, where we're due to arrive in about 16 hours' time.

Sorry 'bout the title today - as it happens, we don't have a dog, let alone one with a penchant for ladies clothing and fake breasts - but the name came to me in the middle of the night when I was having a dream about recording an album and decided upon that as a title. I think Hoopy makes a valid point here - he's just said "you're mad". I guess.

Has anyone warned the fine folks in Australia you're coming? Stupid question - if they had, you wouldn't be going there...
